Blog Marketing for Free
Blog Marketing for Free
Blog marketing for free should be a priority for everyone who blogs regularly. Whether for business or simply wanting to build a following of like-minded individuals, marketing your blog is a necessity.
Start with Content
No matter what… if your content does not fit the quality sniff test, then you will be unable to attract and build your following.
You must blog consistently… 5 to 7 times a week, and then begin to use free tools and sites available. In many cases, blog marketing can be more time consuming than actually writing your blog. But the time you spend in marketing to the following sites will be in direct correlation to the size of the audience you build.
Free Social Media Sites for Blog Marketing
Facebook – It is possible to build a substantial audience on facebook, but much of your success depends upon your friend base and how much you interact with them. Posting your blog and other posts in order to generate comments and shares will build the size of your distribution to newsfeeds. You can learn much more about the huge value of facebook prospecting by getting Jo Barnes’s free ebook, Facebook Marketing 2013
Twitter – With 500 million users, twitter offers another free and substantial audience. Try to follow the individuals who match your interests as closely as possible. You might find Follower Wonk which is a great resource in building a list of people to follow.
YouTube – When you’re looking to get your blog’s SEO on the front page of a search, then combining text and video is an awesome combination. See Gideon Shalwick’s video on the subject of producing a video.
LinkedIn – Another popular social media site, LinkedIn caters to a more business-oriented member. If you’re looking for business people for your product or service, this is an excellent place to post.
Google+ – As time goes by Google+ becomes a more powerful social media site. It’s a good idea to always work as closely as possible with Google as possible.
Blog Directories – There are numerous blogs that welcome the opportunity to have your blog published on their site. See Avangate for the Top 50 Free Blog Directories.
That should get you started if you are looking for ways to do blog marketing. Of course there’s a lot more to understand… like SEO. But the most important thing is to blog regularly and syndicate your blog to other sites in order to begin connecting with followers while you grow your community.
It takes time to build a large community of followers, but learning to blog is by far the most potent tool available for building relationships. Think about the last time you did a keyword search. Did you realize that most, if not all, of the findings for your search were blogs and videos?
That’s where the audience is and that’s where you should be… on the first page of search results.
