8 Ways to Increase Traffic to your website
Here are 8 ways to increase traffic to your website. If you are already involved in network marketing, you realize that the most important contributor to success is the traffic you get and keep.
At the end of this blog, you can download a FREE eBook by Mason Ramm entitled, “Free Traffic for Broke Marketers.”
Produce Quality Content
The first recommendation is that you commit yourself to producing quality content consistently, 4 to 7 times a week. If your intended audience finds your content less than interesting, they will not opt-in, nor will they return.
Be Relevant to Increase Traffic to Your website
Okay… so, now that we know we must have quality and we now need to add “longevity.” Being relevant and having longevity means that your website’s brand needs to be mature. The longer you’re online developing your site, the more attractive you are to the web crawlers.
Develop a Long Tail
Use Google’s Keyword Planner to investigate and rate the key words you want to use in your content. Learn to develop the keywords you plan on using, into a long tail… 4 to 5 words. For example, my keywords for this article are “increase traffic.” My long tail, then, is the title of my content… “8 Ways to Increase Traffic to Your Website.”
Plan and Optimize Your Content
When we first begin producing content, we simply want to write about something for which we feel a passion. After some time, we learn that if we are not visible on the search engine results, we miss out on capturing traffic. Begin to write with a plan… if you have a WordPress blog or website, you can use an app that will help you optimize your content.
Get Hooked Up with Backlinks
When another site likes your content, they will feature a back-link that takes their reader to your page. Web crawlers are impressed by a site having back-links and give it a higher rating, which means you increase traffic to your site. Be careful if you are tempted to purchase backlinks. If you are scammed by a vendor using “dirty” back-links, you’ll find that Google will consider them unacceptable and downgrade your status.
Don’t Aggravate Google!
As with all things that operate with a set of guidelines, there are also many ways to skirt the rules and abuse the system. Many people have tried and have lost their good standing with Google, so my advice is to play by the rules. If you win playing by the rules you’ll find the result far more valuable.
Become a Video Star to Increase Traffic
Videos are becoming widely popular with a variety of audiences. A video can be filmed, edited and syndicated for free (SmartPhone, YouTube editor, and YouTube syndication). Don’t let fear of the camera keep you from this dynamic opportunity. When you load your video onto YouTube, make sure you optimize your description.
Build a Community
Successful network marketers and companies build a list of people who are like-minded and who share similar interests. With quality content and high page rankings, you will be your community’s expert. Don’t rush it… building a solid base of skills and then building your community is and will be the most rewarding path to success.
